Worst way to start the year

Okay, so most people love their Mokkas, but I hated mine. It always needed something fixed, and then the gearbox just died on me.

It was a pain to fix, and then the handbrake started freezing up in the cold. I couldn't even get the part to fix it! So I just traded it in.

Hope you guys don't have the same problems I did.

I'm unsure which 5-speed gearbox was used in the 1.6-liter Mokka, but I'm aware that some of the same gearboxes in the Astra and Corsa had issues with gear shifting. It's usually a simple repair, and you can even use aftermarket parts.

If it's just the shifter that's broken, it shouldn't be a big deal. Those 5-speed transmissions are usually quite reliable.

Trouble free? I don't think there will ever be manufactured a trouble-free car.

Mine’s being a pain too, feels rough shifting from 2nd to 3rd, and sometimes refusing to engage 3rd gear altogether. And the handbrake’s acting up the same way. Super frustrating!
