Hello. Mokka e 2022
On driving off , forwards or backwards there is a loud ish noise, not whine.
It starts after 3 seconds and stops when the car does
Any bright ideas please?
Thanks Richard

A friend also described getting a loud noise after starting to drive that stopped when the car came to a halt. It wasn’t a typical whine but more of a mechanical sound. In their case, it turned out to be an issue with the brakes releasing slowly, especially noticeable when moving forward or reversing. They had it checked at the dealership, and a brake adjustment resolved the problem. You might want to have yours looked at to rule out a similar cause.

How many miles do you have on the car? Does it sound like the reduction gear?

Hello.
Thanks for following me!
The one suggestion didn’t work out.
Perhaps I should rephrase the noise :

Grinding sound once the car starts moving at more than 1mph

My limited experience takes me to one brake pad not releasing back after using the brakes?
It brakes perfectly ie in a straight line.

Apologies to someone who did reply with a positive and credible explanation. I can’t locate the response.
I will certainly be following that up, ref brake pad not releasing
