My Mokka's battery died while the key was in the ignition, and now I can't access the boot to jump-start it. The dog guard is blocking access from the inside. Does anyone know a way to manually open the boot or bypass the electric system to get to the battery?

Check your manual for an emergency boot release; it’s often hidden near the latch inside. If not, try accessing power via the fuse box.

that’s a tough spot to be in. If you can fold down your rear seats, you might be able to crawl into the boot and manually release the latch. Sometimes there’s a small slot or opening near the latch where you can insert a screwdriver to manually pop it open. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but it worked for me when my battery gave out.
