My 2018 Mokka X is giving me strange electrical problems. The reverse lights abruptly stopped functioning. It turned out that defective LED interior lights were the cause of the blown fuse.

My headlights are acting strangely too. On auto, the full headlight is on one side and the DRL is on the other. There are no error codes appearing. All bulbs, fuses, and the gearbox reverse switch are in good condition, but an auto electrician suspects a malfunctioning body control module.

Has anyone else encountered the same problems? Do you know what could be causing this? And is it really necessary for me to bring it to a Vauxhall dealer for a new BCM or software update?

You might want to get a second opinion from another mechanic. But this sounds like a BCM issue to me as well.

Yeah def a BCM issue, which can cause erratic electrical behavior like this. A software update or BCM replacement might help, but try a reset first.
